THE HUMANE

For the Cultural Center at the Cathedral in Constance, we designed the appearance, visual guiding system, and advertising strategies. The starting point was an intense consideration about the Cultural Center as a place of the city's humanity. Thus, we looked for a humane metaphor for its logo and found it in an ancient symbol. A handprint is a gesture of human communication from the caves of Lascaux to contemporary art of our time. The hand was used in posters and excitement was created through the gradual build up of the placard.
